Dog-friendly

Whether traveling with a companion dog or a service dog, Travel-for-All can let you know your options for Dog-friendly travel arrangements.

The ADA defines a service animal as “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.”

Companion dog usually describes a dog that does not work, providing only companionship as a pet, rather than usefulness by doing specific tasks. Many of the toy dog breeds are used only for the pleasure of their company, not as workers. Any dog can be a companion dog, and many working types such as retrievers are enjoyed primarily for their friendly nature as a family pet, as are mixed breed dogs. The American Kennel Club also offers a Companion dog title for judged dog obedience competitions.

Fully Independent Travel

FIT stands for Fully Independent Travel (or Tourists). These travelers eschew mass tourism and the holiday package concept promoted by Travel operators, in favour of a more individualistic approach to travel.

This can also be Individual travel in which a tour operator has previously arranged blocks of rooms at various destinations in advance for use by individual travelers. These travelers travel independently, not in a group, usually by rental car or public transportation.
