Jo was born in The Faroe Islands and travelled to England, via Scotland, at 7 months old where she was raised. Jo moved to Ontario, Canada after marrying and she and her husband retired to British Columbia over 20 years ago. Her travels have continued all through her life, from the North Cape in Arctic Norway, in the Norwegian Sea, to the Tasman Sea, south of New Zealand in the Southern Pacific Ocean. She circumnavigated the world in 2014 from Canada to Germany, Cape Town, South Africa to Hong Kong and China. She climbed the Great Wall and looked in awe at the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xian. Then on to San Francisco and back to Vancouver. She has travelled to every state in the USA including Alaska and Hawaii and every province in Canada as well as to 6 of the 7 continents in the world with plans to visit the 7th next year. Europe is one of her favourite vacation destinations and she has visited 27 of the 44 countries, travelling by car, rail and cruise ships.
