Sri Lanka - 13 Days

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka is an island country in South Asia, located in the Indian Ocean to the southwest of the Bay of Bengal and to the southeast of the Arabian Sea.

Sri Lanka is a remarkably safe place to travel in, and violent crime against foreigners is virtually unheard of – this is still a place where, despite 25 years of brutal civil war, in parts of the country the theft of two bicycles is considered a crime wave.

If you’re heading to the west and south coasts and hill country, December to March is the best time to visit. If you plan on seeing the east coast, you’ll get the best weather from April/May to September.

The historical remains of Sri Lanka are rich and perfectly preserved! During your tour, you will explore the 3 major sites which are accessible: Polonnaruwa: the former capital of the Kingdom of Ceylan at the 11th and 12th century; Dambulla: the troglodyte temple; and Kandy: the Buddhist spiritual capital of the island with its great temple of the tooth.

Famous for being one of the best teas in the world, the heart of the island is totally covered by this unique plant. We invite you to visit one of the numerous plantations to know more about the process from the seed to your cup and of course you will have the pleasure to taste a delicious brew surrounded by this splendid landscape.
