Best of Egypt - 9 Days

Egypt, a country linking northeast Africa with the Middle East, dates to the time of the pharaohs. Millennia-old monuments sit along the fertile Nile River Valley, including Giza’s colossal Pyramids and Great Sphinx as well as Luxor’s hieroglyph-lined Karnak Temple and Valley of the Kings tombs. The capital, Cairo, is home to Ottoman landmarks like Muhammad Ali Mosque and the Egyptian Museum, a trove of antiquities.

Best of Egypt Tour

We adore Egypt, but it can be a challenge accessibility-wise. Businesses and institutions in Egypt generally do not make special accommodations for persons with disabilities, and Egyptian authorities do not enforce laws mandating access to transportation, communication, and public buildings by persons with disabilities. Pedestrian sidewalks and walkways are limited, uneven, high, and sometimes used by cars and motorcycles. Accommodations on public transportation are not offered for elderly individuals or persons with disabilities. Crosswalks exist, but motorists have the right of way and pedestrians should exercise extreme caution.

Thankfully, the accessibility specialists at Travel-for-All have connections around the world. We have already vetted this Egyptian vacation for accessibility, and can make the plans that meet your travel requirements.

Cairo is the capital city of Egypt, located along the Nile River in North Africa. The city boasts an ancient history, with the Great Pyramids of Giza located less than 10 miles from downtown Cairo. The Pyramid of Khufu is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one still standing.
