Day 1
Welcome to Vancouver

An assistant will meet and assist you at Vancouver International Airport (Arrival procedures) and then you will transfer to the hotel by an accessible air-conditioned modern van adapted for wheelchair travelers.

Day 2
Stanley Park

After breakfast, pick up from your hotel at 9am for a drive to Stanley Park. Explore the 400-hectare natural West Coast rainforest and enjoy scenic views of water, mountains, sky, and majestic trees along Stanley Park’s famous Seawall. Discover kilometres of trails, beautiful beaches, local wildlife, great eats, natural, cultural and historical landmarks, along with many other adventures. The park offers a wide range of unforgettable experiences for all ages and interests, including Canada’s largest aquarium.

Day 3
Kitsilano

Kitsilano, known locally as Kits, is synonymous with famous Kits Beach—named one of the “top 10 best city beaches in the world” by international travel magazines, and perfect for outdoor fitness.

Kitsilano is one of the city’s organic-food hubs, and has extensive restaurants and retail along West 4th Avenue and West Broadway. Kitsilano runs along the south shore of English Bay, between popular Granville Island and Point Grey.

Water wheelchairs are available daily from noon to 8pm between the Victoria Day and Labour Day long weekends.

Day 4
Victoria

After breakfast and check-out, you’re off to the BC Ferry Terminal for a scenic cruise to Vancouver Island and the city of Victoria, named Fort Victoria in November 1843, in honour of Queen Victoria.

After you check into your hotel in downtown Victoria; centred on the lively Inner Harbour, crisscrossed by tiny ferries, seaplanes, and whale-watching boats, you can spend the rest of your day exploring the harbour of this bustling Canadian City. Be sure to enjoy afternoon tea at the historic Empress Hotel.

Victoria

Today is your day to explore. After breakfast, you off on a Hop-On Hop-Off City Sights Tour

Your ticket grants unlimited access to the Hop-On Hop-Off double-decker bus service for 24 hours, allowing you to discover Greater Victoria at your own pace. Truly the best way to discover Victoria’s must-see points of interest!

Day 6
Butchart Gardens

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll head to Butchart Gardens, a National Historic Site of Canada where you’ll find remnants of the original cement plant and millions of bedding plants in over 900 varieties awaiting you as you wander The Gardens.

The Coffee Shop or the Dining Room (reservations recommended) are available for lunch on your own, before an afternoon of fully exploring these beautiful gardens.

Day 7
Eco-Cruise

After breakfast today, you’re off to experience an Eco-Cruise; an exclusive cruise along the rugged fjord of the Saanich Inlet or amongst the scenic islands of the Sidney waterfront. Enjoy the relaxing ‘living-room’ atmosphere on-board with panoramic views, while the Skipper provides an ‘edu-taining’ narration of interest to all ages and backgrounds.

Returning to the hotel in the afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax or explore. The Parliament Buildings are nearby, and Chinatown is unforgettable.

Day 8
Duncan & Chemainus

You’ll check-out of your Victoria hotel after breakfast this morning, and travel north to Nanaimo with stops in Duncan and Chemainus along the way.

Duncan, known as the City of Totems, and Chemainus, known for its collection of murals depicting local history provide interesting breaks along the journey. Lunch at a local restaurant before settling into your Nanaimo Hotel for the night.

Day 9
Nanaimo

Nanaimo is a lovely harbour city with many wheelchair-accessible pathways perfect for watching seaplanes take off and land, and boats come and go. Browse your way through the Old City Quarter, with its boutique stores housed in the heritage buildings. Watch for the plaques that tell the stories of Nanaimo’s colourful past.

Day 10
Vancouver

After breakfast this morning, you’ll check out and take another scenic ride on BC Ferries back to Vancouver.

Departure

Transfer back to the Vancouver International Airport for the next leg of your journey.
